Biography
METAL DETECTOR hails from Italy where it was formed somewhere in the mid-00s. They first released a 3-track demo CD in 2006 entitled “West Of Heaven” while in parallel focusing on work for a full-length debut. Influenced by milestone Metal bands like IRON MAIDEN, METALLICA, BLIND GUARDIAN, MANOWAR and ICED EARTH, the quintet managed to have its debut piece of art ready in early 2012.

This album is not bad; not bad at all. It normally pictures a band doing a DYI work plus the musicianship is not in a top-notch level. Still, there’s feeling in this set of songs and genuine Metal devotion. The style of METAL DETECTOR sees some of epic Power Metal with a take on Fantasy Metal and some sporadic Thrash efforts. They have ultimately bring their influence on the table and try to make something out if this material, which means there’s not much room for personal signature here. But, how strange this one ends, the result may sound appealing to Metal fans who do not necessarily need their Metal over-polished (cause this work surely ain’t one).
