Metro / Smartbar / GMan Tavern is reaching out to all the concert / festival lovers with the following request for your help:
“The push to save our stages has gained major momentum––we now have our very own bill in Congress! The Save Our Stages Act (H.R. 7806 / S. 4258) seeks to address the unique issues independent venues face in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
"We are in the final stages of our campaign. Members of Chicago Independent Venue League (CIVL) and National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) have worked tirelessly to lobby for Congressional support, and we can't do it alone.
"Even if you have called or sent a letter, we are humbly asking you to do so again (in under 60 seconds) and to ask your network to do the same. This is a new round of advocacy surrounding the RESTART and Save Our Stages Acts, and we need immense public support in order for these to pass.
"Thousands of indie venues, festivals, and promoters nationwide won't survive without this legislation. Please make your voice heard. Click HERE to contract your reps.
"With gratitude,
Your Friends at Metro / Smartbar / GMan Tavern”
