High Roller Records is proud to present FLIGHT's anticipated sophomore album, "A Leap Through Matter" on vinyl, CD and digital formats.
FLIGHT comes from Oslo and Kolbotn in Norway and consists of Christoffer Bråthen on lead guitar and vocals, Kristian Ingvaldsen on lead guitar, Jonas Bye on lead bass and Christian Holm on lead drums. FLIGHT started up in the fall of 2012 and draws towards classic late '70s Heavy Rock, with inspirations from heavyweights such as JUDAS PRIEST, WISHBONE ASH, CAMEL and WINTERHAWK, with firm roots in the NWOBHM sound as well, as proved on their debut S/T record from 2015.
With "A Leap Through Matter", they take it a step further with more complex structures, more layers and exiting twists, while still maintaining the soundscape that you're familiar to with FLIGHT. This record has been much anticipated in the Heavy Metal underground, and it's sure to prove the wait worthwhile.
The album starts with a progressive 9 minutes 6 seconds opening track titled "Arrival / One With The Sun", through the sounds of late '70s B.Ö.C with "The Pendulum" and the classic sound of Heavy Metal with lots of syncopation and hard hitting riffs of the title track. The B-side kicks off with the straight rocker "Ride On", a catchy tune that's sure to make you move along to the melody and join in on the chorus. Check it out below:
