Bonafide means genuine and true, the band BONAFIDE is not only genuine and true they sound smoking hot and explosive on the coming sixth studio release “Flames”. The hard working Swedes honest and warm Rock’n’Roll has never sounded as vibrant as this - and the first single release “Smoke & Fire” concludes it all. Check it out below.
The lyrics are a kick in the ass on contemporary band who likes to dress up more than they like to write good and strong music. For some looks and how to behave on stage matters more than delivering catchy songs. For BONAFIDE it is the opposite. For sure... we look really ok on stage, but for BONAFIDE it has always been about the music, comments Pontus Snibb.
The new release is somewhat a surprise from BONAFIDE as the release features a South-Swedish Gospel Choir on a few of the tracks to give it more of a BLACK CROWS feeling compared to the more straight forward Hard Rock presented on earlier albums. This gives a mix of Rock and Soul, something that always has been on the want list for BONAFIDE.
In 2017 BONAFIDE will celebrate their 10th anniversary as a band and show no signs of slowing down.
“It doesn’t feel like the band has existed for a decade already. The first album I wrote and recorded myself and my only ambition was to get the record released. Members has come and gone since then and it definitely have been one hell of a journey, but I’m proud that BONAFIDE still exist and still is out there rocking, continues Pontus.”
The new album “Flames” is released on February 24th, 2017 via Off Yer Rocka Records..
